Squatting – Want to Help Your Running and General Health – Practice Squatting

I just changed my seated position from my sofa to a supportive chair to write this post. I was sitting in typical poor posture position. My sofa offers little support but boy it’s convenient. Hey, I was feeling a little lazy. I ran and trained more than I really wanted today. And, I’m coming off a 28 mile weekend. Then a yoga teacher I follow on Facebook posts this great article on squatting. My coach Steve Ilg of Wholistic Fitness, is the squatting king. Squatting has been pounded into my head but I still don’t spend enough time working on my squatting.

In the article below “5 Reasons to Full Squat” James Speck from Ssomastruct.com  gives a quick history of the full squat, talks about 5 reasons you need to work on your squatting, then goes into more detail.

Put squatting into you training practice and let it help your running. I will be and keep you informed how my squatting is going.
