How are your New Year’s Resolutions / Goals Going?
I ask it because I had my first let down this week and I am using this blog post to get back on track. I posted I would post at least 5 days a week. This post in number 4 and I am out of days. So this week is a fail.
I could give you my excuses. At least the ones I used in over the last week and it was a very busy week for me, but the question is, “Am I going to let this set me back?” And it wouldn’t be the first time a little setback stopped all the previous progress.
No, It’s not going to happen. Here’s today’s post, you’ll see one tomorrow and 5 this upcoming a week.
Now, Let’s tie this to running. How many time have we let one little slip become a complete derailmentĀ of your running goals? I know a lot of new runners, still trying to develop a running practice, that haveĀ gone through this.
We are all not born with a love of running but for many of us it comes to us over time. I think it has been like that for me. I don’t always wake up ready to run but once I am out there, especially early in the morning, watching the sunrise, enjoying the quiet streets, breathing in the crisp air my attitude completely changes and I wouldn’t want to be any other place.
If your are off track, get back on. It’s only February, it’s not too late.
BTW – My number 2 goal is on track. Details to come.
